Who is this course for?
This course is part of the beginner series of courses which will help you understand the key elements of your camera and photography. It is ideal for beginners and hobbyist and those who wish to learn more about the creativity of the shutter!
Shutter speed is more than just a technical setting; it’s an artistic tool that allows you to freeze fast-paced action, create dreamy motion blur, or craft stunning light trails. Throughout this course, you’ll embark on a journey of discovery, exploring how shutter speed influences the visual storytelling of your photographs. We’ll delve into the science behind it, explore its creative applications, and provide you with practical hands-on exercises to hone your abilities.
Some of the topics covered are:
- Using the ‘S’ mode on the camera
- What is the shutter and shutter speed
- How shutter speed impact light and the image
- How is the shutter measured
The course content is in depth and teaches alot which also prepares you for Course 4 – ISO & FOCUS,
At the end of this course users will be able to use the camera settings in much more detail and change camera settings where necessary with confidence.
Key Details
The course will be 3 hours long with 8 participants, although the time can vary if there are less participants. This will not have any impact on the quality of learning. If there are less than 4 participants the course may be postponed and another date will be offered. The meeting point will be sent in your welcome email.
