A location-based photography class is a course where you will learn and practice photography techniques on locations. It provides an opportunity to capture stunning images in different settings, such as urban landscapes, nature, architecture, and more. This is done via group classes or more private one 2 ones.

In the class, you will learn all the aspects of the chosen class in detail. The class is theoretical and practical so you get to shoot images.

No prior experience is required. This class is suitable for beginners as well as intermediate photographers who want to enhance their skills.

It is recommended to bring a digital camera (DSLR, mirrorless, or advanced compact camera) with manual settings. Additionally, a tripod, extra batteries, memory cards, and a laptop for post-processing may be useful, course dependant. However, these are not mandatory, and you can participate with any camera you have available.

Course location details are normally sent via email when you book the course. The location will be easily accessible via public transport and we try to accommodate drivers with parking. This is always dependent on the city and we have no control over parking restrictions etc.

Yes, you can use a smartphone for the class. While a dedicated camera may offer more control and options, smartphones nowadays have advanced cameras capable of capturing high-quality images. The principles and techniques taught in the class can be applied to both smartphone and dedicated camera photography. We also have dedicated smartphone photography and video courses which may better suit your needs.

Our courses are designed so you make the most of the chosen subject and walk away feeling confident you learnt something. For this reason we do not offer post processing on courses unless it is an editing course.

Yes, feedback is an integral part of the learning process. In most classes, instructors and fellow participants provide constructive feedback on the images captured during the outings. This feedback helps you improve your skills and gain different perspectives on your work.

Yes, location-based photography classes often encourage group discussions and provide opportunities for networking. You can connect with other photography enthusiasts, share ideas, exchange experiences, and create a supportive community of like-minded individuals.

We encourage minors to enrol on our junior courses which are more suited towards young learners. Anyone aged 16-18 can join adult courses but must be accompanied by an adult throughout the course without charge.

No prior experience is required for many photography training courses. They are designed to cater to individuals with various skill levels, from beginners to more advanced photographers. The courses often start with the basics and gradually progress to more advanced topics.
